It is used as an admixture for site-mixed cement concrete, mortar, and plastering. It makes concrete cohesive, prevents segregation, and facilitates excellent retention of workability. In addition to lowering the water-cement ratio, it eliminates the chances of bleeding and shrinkage cracks in mortar.
